TERMS AND CONDITIONS OF TRAVEL TO TELO ISLAND LODGE

Effective FEBRUARY 17, 2010

 

 

Please read carefully

Travel Insurance

  • TRAVEL INSURANCE IS COMPULSORY and should include at least a MedEvac option and compensation for lost trip days due to unforeseen circumstances or emergencies.
  • A copy of your travel insurance document must be presented to your booking agent prior to departure and details of your policy MUST be carried with you to Telo Island Lodge.

Bookings

  • $1,000 deposit is required per person to secure traveling dates.
  • All bookings considered open until deposit and booking form are received.
  • Bookings show as available until monies show in TIL/PT ZERO DOWN account.
  • Bookings will not be held without deposits.
  • All deposits are 100% non-refundable.

Payments

  • Balance of payment is required to be paid 60 days prior to departure and is non-refundable due to aircraft booking conditions and provisioning terms.
  • All prices quoted are for Telo Island Lodge and DO NOT include international airfares OR extra nights needed in transit prior to or after your trip.
  • Once full payments & confirmed flight itinerary have been received by Telo Island Lodge, you will be sent an itinerary confirming all details of your trip.
  • Confirmation will be sent via email when any money is paid to confirm that we have received your payment.
  • There are no refunds or partial refunds given for poor surf, inclement weather, airline related delays or cancellations and late departures from a designated trip date or itinerary.
  • In addition, there are no refunds given for reasons per taining to unstable global, national, or local political or natural conditions that do not directly pose a threat to the safe operations of our lodge.
  • Full payment required 60 days prior to travel.
  • Group/Individual payment not received by due dates, forfeits trip to first group/individual on wait list.
  • All trips are non refundable
  • Transfer of dates must be 30 days prior to travel.
  • A fee of $100 AUD applies to date transfers.
  • Any transfer of dates is pending availability.
  • Transfer fee is responsibility of individual or agent.
  • Package price per person is dependant on numbers confirmed / booked on each trip.
  • Payment is accepted as cash transfer, Mastercard, Visa or Cheque
  • A 1% processing fee applies to any payment made with credit cards.
  • All EFT transfers must be in AUD.
  • Incoming calls are free of charge, however if you wish to make calls from Telo Island Lodge phones a charge will apply.
  • Wireless Internet is charged out at $USD7 per hour (accumulative).
  • Beverages available at bar prices
  • Corkage applies to BYO alcohol at 150,000rps per spirit bottle
  • Bar beverages & other miscellaneous expenses are to be paid for before departing Telo Island Lodge. Lodge manager accepts payments of cash or credit card (MasterCard & Visa only. A 1% processing fee applies to any payment made with credit cards).

Airline Related Information

  • Telo Islands Lodge is not responsible for airline board fees or baggage policies.
  • Telo Islands Lodge does not accept any responsibility for late arrival or non-arrival of surfboards, surfboard bags, diving equipment, fishing equipment or any other luggage.
  • Medan Airport departure Tax rates are75,000rps for International departure & 35,000rps for domestic departure. Departure, Airport & Airline taxes are the responsibility of passengers.
  • As you will be travelling to one of the most remote surf regions in the world that is occasionally hampered by unstable local politics & infrastructure and natural disaster, please ensure the airline tickets you purchase in advance are through an airline which is flexible with date change & destination changes and has a minimal cancellation policy. Again as per items under Payment – “There are no refunds or partial refunds given for poor surf, inclement weather, airline related delays or cancellations and late departures from a designated trip date or itinerary. In addition, there are no refunds given for reasons pertaining to unstable global, national, or local “.
  • When guest agree to terms & conditions of travel to Telo Island Lodge that take on travel on any airline or aircraft at their own risk.

Transit, Transfers and Accommodation

  • All guests MUST use TIL/PT ZERO DOWN ground handlers and preferred accommodation.
  • TIL/PT ZERO DOWN will provide Airport-Hotel-Airport transfers in Medan or Padang as part of the package price.
  • TIL/PT ZERO DOWN is not responsible for ANY accommodation or incidental costs in Medan or Padang.
  • Should Telo transfer flight be unable to operate due to unfavorable weather conditions, guests will be accommodated at Telo Island Lodge, Medan or Padang until next available flight.
  • TIL or PT Zero Down do not offer a refund or compensation if this happens.
  • Should the plane be unable to fly due to non weather related issues, transfer will be carried out by Surf Charter boat, or alternate means and once again TIL or PT Zero Down do not offer a refund or compensation if this happens.

International Transfers

 

  • Telo Island Lodge is not responsible for airline board fees or baggage policies.
  • Telo Island Lodge does not accept any responsibility for late arrival or non-arrival of surfboards, surfboard bags, diving equipment
  • Telo Island Lodge will not be held responsible for missed flights, delayed departures of flights or transfer of destination.
  • Telo Island Lodge will not be held responsible for any lost or damaged luggage.
  • All prices quoted are for Telo Island Lodge and DO NOT include international airfares OR extra nights needed at transit prior to or after your trip.
  • Booking and payment of international flights, taxes, and insurance are the responsibility of individuals and booking agents.
  • Any group/individual who misses connection to TIL due to cancelled/delayed or missed flights will only be transferred to TIL at an additional charge equal to the cost of this transfer/handling.
  • Costs associated with facilitation of transfer will be at expense of guests. 
  • TIL/PT ZERO DOWN accepts no responsibility or expenses for missed/cancelled or delayed international flights, domestic flights or Telo Island transfer flights.
  • Changes to guest flights and or accommodation or any additional ground handling will be at the expense of guests.
  • Any services rendered by TIL/PT ZERO DOWN ground agent in regard to flights and accommodation changes will be at the fees nominated by TIL/PT ZERO DOWN ground agent at the expense of guests.

Documents

 

  • Passports must be valid for at least 6 months from the date you enter Indonesia.
  • As of March 2004, you will need $US25 CASH when you arrive at customs in Indonesia to purchase an entry visa if you are from countries including: Australia, United States, South Africa, Brazil, New Zealand, United Kingdom, Italy, Japan, and France.
  • You will also need two photocopies of you passport for registration with authorities in Telo Island.
  • NOTE: the visa entry fee MUST BE PAID IN CASH and it MUST BE PAID IN $US and there are no ATM machines between when you get off the plane and customs. Therefore you need to bring $USD25 cash with you!!

 

Right of refusal

  • TIL/PT ZERO DOWN and their representatives reserve the right to remove guests from the lodge and cancel accommodation for any reason with no refund.
  • TIL/PT ZERO DOWN reserve the right to refuse any booking for any reason.

Damages

  • Any equipment or building damaged/lost, beyond the normal wear, by guests will be charged to guests at the replacement cost of same.
