The Surf
Over the 17 years the owners and operators of Telo Island Lodge have been in the region we have had the privilege to "discover" many breaks and surf a multitude of others. For over a decade this was a secret wave garden frequented only by the few who knew. If it thundering 10 foot tubes across shallow dangerous reef we are probably not the the ideal location, but if your chasing 3-6 foot user friendly perfect surf with you and a few mates there are few locations on the planet that are better.
There are over 20 different breaks within an hour’s drive of the lodge and 70% of them are within 20 mins. THE SURF HERE IS ULTRA CONSISTENT in the 3-5-foot range, lefts and rights that work in all tides and opposite wind directions virtually guaranteeing off-shores every day. One of the main attractions of our region is that the variety of surf offers many options for ALL levels of surfers and equipment.
The breaks you will see on this page are just a sample of the places we regularly surfed with guests in the past 5 seasons. Also rest assured there are a few spots that are NOT on the site we may get to visit while you are here.
